made-up battle

Old make-up vs. new make-up

Yes, people, we are still in a recession. I remember at the height of the economy's tumble, there was a surge in beauty products... after all, we still like to reward ourselves in small ways, and what better way than in make-up (or skincare, etc..?)

I have been itching to get a new lipstick color (I still love my Chanel Rouge Allure in Passion, but...) and as much as I think I do want the red-orange shade popularized by Prada for this season, I haven't been seeing many raspberry/fuschia lips. I don't believe the color is that hard to pull off, granted you find a color to complement your skin tone.

I don't know what possessed me on a Friday night, after baking cupcakes (tomorrow is my mom's birthday), and finishing up my Latex piece, I decided to take some photos of the new lip make-up I purchased. Maybe I was just high on the whiff of my golden vanilla cupcakes...

Battle it up lipsticks!

Love this picture :)

Oh btw- what do you think of the Laura Mercier foundation? I'm looking for a replacement for my Chanel foundation, which I find, does not match my pasty winter skin!
